Merry Christmas

From Our Home
To yours
Wishing you a
Merry Christmas
&
A Happy New Year.

I'd like to thank one and all for stopping by and spending time looking over my projects. It has brought many a smile from your comments, emails and such.

I have learned that we all have our limitations ~ whether it be physical, emotional or financial and it is those who stand by us through good and bad times that really help us move on and make the best of what we have.

Crafting is a source of enjoyment for so many, it has a way of letting us work with out hands and mind, creating something unique, something not only we enjoy but by sharing with others, helping others create. It is a true gift.

I do hope in the New Year, we will come up with so many more projects to share and work on through whatever life brings us.

So I'd like to thank each and everyone one of you that stop in, take time to read, check out what I've been up to either in the moment or the past. You have made crafting so much more fun and rewarding. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

From Nanny Donna's Corner on Christmas day, wishing you good health, crafting supplies ;) and hours of enjoyment.

Hugs,
Donna

Mario Kart Birthday Party

Another year older for Mr. Rylan! Happy 5th Birthday Grandson! As you can see the theme of the party was Mario Kart. Bright colors and lots of fun characters.

I had to google most of the characters for Mario Kart as I'm not as up to date on these things as our little ones are. Sooo many ideas started to pop into my head. Once my son told me that he had purchased the Mario Kart remote control car for Rylan's gift, I knew which direction I was headed with the decorations.

First I started with the card. Very easy card to make thanks to Sharyn's Stamp Biz for her how to. Fast, simple and perfect for any Mario & Luigi lovers.

Nest came the birthday hats, and once again I searched online and found a real easy method to make the hats thanks to Cute As A Fox. I cut the circles out on my Silhouette Cameo and added some gold brads, at the corner to make sure the visor stayed in place, then stamped happy 5th Birthday around the monogram L & M.

Purchased some bright plastic cups at WalMart and cut out some characters and then stamped and glued them onto the cups...and what would Mario Brothers be without their mustaches? I cut out mustaches and then glued them onto straws! Perfecto~mondo!

Banners: Now they were easy enough. Cut them out by hand, printed up the characters, added my own twist, stamped and added some tape, brads and mustaches (of course) and kept the V for
added bonus  ~ a little something to add to the walls to help decorate and bring the theme to life.

Being Christopher bought Rylan the Mario Kart remote control car, I decided to make a 'start your engine' sign.

This is the birthday Banner that I made for the wall, which was kind of hard to get it all into the picture! Bright, colorful and wishing Rylan a Happy 5th Birthday with some of the fun characters that I printed up and cut out, glued onto the banners.

I searched, printed, cut, stamped and glued until my heart was content! Then we partied and enjoyed celebrating a very special little grandson's 5th Birthday. Wonder what theme will be in demand next time?

Thank you for stopping by and checking out another project of Nanny Donna's Corner, and so

Binou and I say chow for now! Hope you have a scrap~happy day!
